Walking outside today, and noticing the leaves that have already claimed Fall made me a little giddy inside. While I am enjoying the last couple days of summer, I am overly excited for the trees to be bare, and the first day of Fall to take over Facebook and Instagram posts. Fall also means my birthday, which is only a week away from the initiation of the desirable season.
I'm making my way into my mid twenties, and couldn't be more excited!

When I spotted this dress in the sale section on 4th of July I knew I couldn't pass up the offer. This dress is the definition of the perfect Summer dress. It accentuates all the right curves, and flawlessly falls into an A-line, perfect for my body-type. Not to mention the light-weight fabric, which is a thumbs up for Georgia Summers.

Also, how cute is the Peter-Pan necklace?

Can't wait to style it with a black dress and opaque tights for fall time… How would you style it?

MAKING THE SHIFT

The shift dress is a trend I have recently picked up. At first I was hesitant, considering the dress isn't meant to have any tapering in the waist, but I gave it a go, and I'm excited to participate in this trend very soon.

I picked up a gorgeous white shift dress from Target (#1), and at first I didn't know how I would feel, but I tried it on and actually loved it. The dress had a slight A-line at the edges which made the dress more flattering.

I have two out of the four of these dresses hanging in my closet and plan on sporting at least one this weekend! Stay tuned!

Georgia is finally giving us a hint of spring!

With spring and summer approaching us quickly, (fingers crossed!) I'm hoping to find a signature spring time outfit, and by the looks of the amount of maxi's I have in my closet I have a feeling Maxi's might be my thing-- once again!

Today I transformed this look into so many different ways-- throughout the day I wore this look to run errands and do household activities, then turned this same outfit into a GNI (Girls Night In) outfit which I just added a winged eye-liner and berry lips to.

OOTD: PERFECT FRIDAY

Today was what I call a perfect Friday, here are some reasons why:

1. Got the closest parking I have all semester.

2. Found an umbrella in my back seat, perfect for my walk from the parking lot to the other side of campus.

3. Got my finalized midterm grades- rolling with all A's & B's right now!

4. After presenting on bullying in my Critical & Contemporary Issues class, my class rewarded me by a double round of applause.

5. Been craving avocado all day, and there they were- two of them waiting in the fridge for me!

6. It's officially Spring Break!

7. Celebrating a successful week by going to Frontera mex-mex for date night tonight.

I don't think anyone is happier than me to finally be able to step outside the house.

Even if you're not from Atlanta, I'm sure you heard about the crazy winter storms that have been hitting us lately.

Though sitting in the house can somewhat be therapeutic, any more than one day could be too much.

One good thing that did come out of spending all this time at home is that while my mom was cleaning out her closet, she ran across this super adorable vintage bag that she used to wear in the 90's. I've expressed my feelings for finding "hidden treasure" inside of your own homes before, but what's even better is when you know you would pay so much for the item if you had to buy it.

Hoping to wear this bag more often when Spring and Summer roll around.

Start looking around your home, maybe you'll find your own "hidden treasure" ;)
